This is a wonderful fur clip designed by Alfred Philippe for Crown Trifari.  It is design number 122,097, submitted on July 19, 1940 and accepted on August the 20th.  The piece is made of rhodium plated metal that is set with clear rhinestones and green cabochon stones.  It measures 2 3/4” in height and is marked on the clip hinge with the Crown Trifari mark.  Unfortunately, the piece is missing some clear rhinestones - I count 13 missing.  Also, there is wear to whatever limited amount of enamel paint was on the piece, but this shouldn’t bother anyone too much.  A bit of a cleaning would be beneficial, but even with the missing rhinestones, this presents itself beautifully.  I am selling the piece “as is” at a price that easily allows for restoration - this is a desirable piece of Crown Trifari and well worth investing in!
